Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quoter asks only for gender, birthdate, general health level, tobacco history, desired coverage and term length. That information is sufficient for carriers to provide estimates. Full details like your name, address and medical records are only requested if you decide to proceed with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The prices displayed represent what each carrier quotes for the health class you chose. After you apply, the carrier performs underwriting and may confirm, upgrade, or adjust your classification. This site provides estimates only and makes no warranty regarding cost or class. The actual premium is determined after underwriting.

What happens when I click Apply?

You move forward to complete an application using your selections. The form is prefilled with the answers you provided. You can pause your application, save your progress, and return. Your application is managed by Susman Insurance Agency, a California insurance agency licensed under number 0B75129, and you sign electronically.

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on the underwriting requirements of the carrier, the coverage amount requested, and your health profile. Carriers increasingly offer immediate or accelerated approval paths for eligible applicants that skip the exam. Each quote indicates whether an exam is needed, possibly required, or not required.

Is a longer term better?

A term length should align with your financial needs. It should cover the years when someone would face real hardship from your income loss: a mortgage, dependent children, a business obligation. Longer terms cost more monthly but lock your rate in for more years. Use the tool to compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year periods.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool never collects personal contact information, we do not sell or trade visitor data, and our analytics operate without cookies. Look at our privacy policy for a complete list of what is and is not collected and who has access to it.
